Flying through the clouds.
Buffy's voice echoing on the wind.
"I was..happy"

"Time...didn't mean anything."

"I think...I was in Heaven" Bright light in the distance.

Light flash fills screen with a 'whoosh'

Act II- "Let Her Cross Over"

The screen fills with white. Fades into scene of Buffy Summers walking in the mist of clouds.

Crossfade to a closeup of her walking.

Reaching a "summit" in the clouds, she sees a structure in the distance. A bright light shines from the structure.

Approaching the structure she hears a familiar voice calling out "Buffy!" From the light she sees the silhouette of someone approaching.

Buffy is overcome by a peace in knowing this "feels right" and recognizes the familiar voice.

Buffy walks toward the structure.

She now sees clearly the figure at the top of the steps in front of her.

Her mother appears before her bathed in light.

Crossfade to a closer look as Buffy speaks. "Mommy?"

Buffy's face is aglow as Joyce' voice echoes "Welcome home sweetheart!"

Closeup of a vortex begins to open.

The warm glow is replaced by a forboding coldness and darkness as a portal opens behind Buffy.

Buffy spins around to see what is happening. Taking her eyess off her mom

Buffy walks toward the portal as you hear an echoing Willow's voice
"Osirius keep of the gate.."

Willow continues "...Master of all fates.
Hear Us!"

Buffy, terribly oonfsed about what is happening, speaks to "Willow"
Willow! What are you doing?"

Seeing visions of her friends through the portal, Willow's continued chant is heard.
Buffy sees Xander

Buffy sees Tara.

Seeing visions of her friends through the portal, Willow's continued chant is heard.
Buffy sees Anya.
Willow finishes her incantation
"Let Her Cross Over!"

All the sudden the portal explodes with a blinding light.

Buffy is sucked through the portal unwillingly. Not wanting to be ripped away from the happpiness of finding her mother, she screams "Mom!"

Vision from above as if falling through the clouds and to Earth.

Shot within Buffy's casket as she is reconstiuted in pure terror

The camera pans up Buffy tombstone as we hear a muffled scream of someone buried alive.

Awaking with a gasp, Buffy realizes it was all a nightmare. She is alive and well and living with Dawn in Rome.

Act III - There's No Place Like Rome

Buffy puts on her pajamas and walks down the hallway. A faint voice can be heard from a TV newscaster.

Farther down the hall the image becomes clearer. The newsman is talking about the anniversary of the "sinkhole" that swallowed Sunnydale, California.

Buffy enters the room where her sister Dawn is intently watching the news coverage.

The news coverage continues with arhived footage of the evacuation and the crater and an interview with a "local" (Clem)

While standing in the doorway watching this all too familiar scene, the phone rings.

Introducing the "Global Interactive Library of Extrahuman Special - codename G.I.L.E.S.

Xander is interrupted in a conversation with Buffy (through the GILES interface) by a rude visitor.
